  • Geocaching

Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups, with a strong sense of community and support for the environment.

STOP PRESS: 

Whilst visiting the recent Land Rover show at Peterborough we were approached by some old friends who run their own off-road club, to see if we would like to participate in a mutually beneficial membership arrangement.
 
After some discussion Pants Off Road have joined NRG4x4 as a ‘member’ and NRG4x4 have joined Pants. This is a no cost arrangement and allows members of each club to attend events of either club as if they were full members.
 
Please be assured that this is not a merging of two clubs or a change to any plans that Pants Off Road have made, but just some possible added benefits for you as members by providing a wider range of events for you to chose from.
 
We will link to each others websites, upload newsletters and share green lane routes. It is also likely that we will compare calendars for next year to avoid duplication.
 
NRG4x4 is a club which explores the green lanes of the UK. Each event will be chosen by the event organiser. He/she will then produce a number of routes (of about a day’s duration each) in the area. These routes will have been checked for restrictions (TRO's) and will have been driven by members in the last 12 months. All you have to do is book in advance and turn up, you can either join in with a group or go with a bunch of your own mates (you can check the web site to see who is going and get in touch with other members), you will be provided with a map/route from the organiser, and off you go!
